Meet Dr. Mary Lynn Moran
Dr. Mary Lynn Moran is a Double Board Certified Nashville Facial Plastic Surgeon who brings more than 22 years of facial cosmetic, surgical expertise and artistry. She takes a holistic approach to her patients’ concerns and provides a woman’s touch for a natural look. She is passionate about delivering excellent and compassionate care to her patients.
An Education That Inspires Trust
Dr. Moran was accepted into medical school directly out of high school and completed the six-year accelerated, combined premedical/medical program at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biomedical Science and her Medical Degree by the age of 24. After medical school, Dr. Moran completed a general surgery internship, followed by a four-year Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency at the Boston University/Tufts University combined program. She then went on to do a one-year facial cosmetic surgery fellowship through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, with internationally renowned Peter Adamson, MD in Toronto, Ontario.

The commitment Dr. Moran has to excellence is exemplified through her deep involvement with both educational and professional organizations. She has served as an examiner for the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for over a decade, as well as a senior advisor and past board member. Former California Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, even appointed her to serve the state as a member of the Medical Board of California for seven years.

A Personal History
Along with being a part of a medically-focused family, Dr. Moran also comes from a family who enjoys serving the underserved. She has made three trips to Vietnam to teach and perform surgery. She is a senior advisor of Face to Face (an organization that provides free reconstruction to domestic violence victims, as well as patients in developing countries) and serves on the board of directors to Healthcare Volunteers International.
After 22 years in solo, private practice, Dr. Mary Lynn Moran recently relocated to Tennessee from California to be closer to family. She appreciates being in a culture that is infused with music and Southern hospitality. Outside of medicine, Dr. Moran enjoys spending time with her young son and two pugs. She is very involved in her son’s school and is committed to helping her community and local animal rescue. She has her pilot’s license and loves to hike and travel. Dr. Moran also enjoys dancing, singing and playing the piano. She is currently learning to play the guitar and ukulele. Of course, she is an avid fan of the University of Michigan Wolverines. Go Blue!
