Kybella

How Does Kybella Treatment Work?

Kybella, a liquid cytolytic drug, is administered through several small injections in the submental fat tissue. Up to three or four sessions may be needed, with each session scheduled six weeks apart. Patients with greater volume may require more sessions.

Quick and Long-Lasting Results

Results using Kybella are quick and long-lasting, with reductions in submental fat appearing six weeks after treatment. Unlike other treatments, results from using Kybella last for years, usually without further need for touch-ups.

Risks + Considerations

Common side effects of Kybella are injection site reactions, such as swelling, bruising, pain, numbness, redness and hardness of the treated area. Such side effects may start to fade within three days. Rare but serious side effects may include nerve injury in the jaw, facial muscle weakness, or trouble swallowing.
