Halo is a hybrid fractional laser that delivers two wavelengths in the same pass. An ablative wavelength resurfaces a fraction of the damaged outer layer while a non-ablative wavelength travels deeper to stimulate collagen repair. Treating at two depths at once is what allows Halo to correct sun damage and improve texture in a single session.
Halo addresses sun damage, brown spots, age spots, discoloration, uneven skin tone, enlarged pores, rough texture, the appearance of fine lines, light scars and general signs of aging. It can be adjusted for a wide range of skin types. Darker skin tones carry a higher risk of pigment changes, so your provider will assess your skin before recommending it.
Plan on approximately 90 minutes for numbing and treatment. For patient comfort we offer topical numbing and, if you prefer, nitrous oxide sedation — a patient-controlled gas system designed to relieve pain or anxiety.
You will experience dryness, redness, and peeling for five to seven days after your treatment. Patients who receive more aggressive treatments may also experience swelling, which decreases over the first few days. You may apply makeup 24 hours after treatment, and you will go home with post-procedure products and written instructions.
