Brazilian Butt Lift Nashville
Having an attractive backside can do wonders for a person’s self-image. One of the surgical options for a better-looking buttocks is known as the Brazilian Butt Lift, an augmentation procedure that gives a prominent, perky, more youthful buttocks.
The Brazilian Butt Lift has become increasingly popular. Men and women of all ages and body types are opting for this procedure, which is a pleasing solution for someone who does not like the shape of their buttocks or would like to balance their body.
The Brazilian Butt Lift is the most natural way to augment your buttocks because it uses your own fat, called “fat grafting,” to increase the size and improve the profile of your buttocks. It can also improve the balance of your figure and enhance your self-image.
Good surgical candidates include men and women who have:
- Small and/or flat buttocks
- Sagging buttocks
- Asymmetrical buttocks
- Experienced massive weight loss that has changed the buttock’s shape
Your butt lift will be achieved through liposuction that suctions and transfers your existing fat. However, the use of implants in combination with the fat transfer procedure may be used.
The appropriate technique for you will be determined by your surgeon, based on:
- Your buttock’s size and shape
- The amount of fat you have that is available for use through liposuction
- Your goals, expectations and activity level
- The quality and elasticity of your skin, as well as the amount of extra skin
At the time of your consultation, you will meet with your chosen board-certified surgeon who will talk with you about your goals and the best way to achieve your desired outcomes. They will also discuss your medical history and your current medical status. Our goal is to make sure every one of your questions is answered and you feel comfortable with your knowledge of the procedure. Your surgeon will then assess the buttock size and shape. An important part of your consultation will be determining the final buttock size, taking into consideration your overall body size and shape, as well as your pre-operative buttock size.
We have three Patient Care Coordinators who work closely with you through your entire time in our practice, serving as your resource for any questions or concerns you have along the way. After your time talking to the surgeon, your Patient Coordinator will provide you with a detailed, written estimate of surgical fees for your procedure when you have your initial consultation at Cool Springs Plastic Surgery in Nashville, Tennessee. She will assist you in selecting a date for your surgery, convenient for your schedule. Your Patient Care Coordinator will also inform you about all payment options available in our office. Information regarding “Payment Options” are detailed under the “About” tab at the top of our web page.
Surgery: What to Expect
General anesthesia will be used to ensure your comfort during the procedure. A diluted local anesthesia is also used to reduce bleeding and trauma at the surgery site. Liposuction is performed through tiny incisions. A thin, hollow tube, or cannula, is inserted through the incisions to remove excess fat using a controlled back and forth motion.
The fat that was removed is then processed for grafting. Processing typically involves removing excess oil and water from the fat that was harvested. Syringes are then connected to a special cannula that your surgeon uses to add the fat to your buttocks through small injections.
The natural results of your Brazilian Butt Lift will be immediately visible. However, you will not see your final results until a year after the surgery, as it takes time for the fat to “take.” Some of the initial volume you experience will fade as the fat is absorbed by your body. Satisfaction with your new image is likely to continue as you recover. If you gain or lose weight, your results may change as the transferred fat can grow or shrink just as any other fat in your body.
