The Carbon Dioxide Fractional Resurfacing Laser is a great device that allows multiple layers of the skin to be removed safely by leaving areas of damaged skin next to areas that have been treated by the laser. This is why it is called a fractionated method. This laser treatment is performed by our doctors and is often added on to a cosmetic surgery while in our state-of-the-art operating rooms. Downtime typically lasts about 10 days for the skin to heal. Results ultimately depend on how well skin is taken care of following the procedure, but can last several years up to a full decade. Maintaining skin care results is crucial and includes, but is not limited to, applying daily sunscreen, moisturizing and continuous skin cell renewal with exfoliation. Results vary depending on your skin type.
